The Saroya approach is different from most traditional skincare companies in that the process starts with a consultation rather than a product. This is how it works:
- When you contact me, I will set up a 30 minute phone meeting with you. The purpose of the meeting is to understand your skincare objectives, your constitution or dosha, and your lifestyle. This will be via a series of questions.
- I will then do an analysis based on the information and send you a recommendation including products, lifestyle, and dietary suggestions.
- We will have a follow up in three weeks to assess progress.
Meet the maker: Sandhya Gopalakrishnan is a mom to two wonderful girls who are the inspiration for Saroya because of her intense desire for them to have baby soft skin forever.
In 2015, Sandhya embarked on a path to revamp her lifestyle for optimal health after suffering a burnout when she hit 40. Overwhelmed by family, career, and other things that hit women mid-life (read changing hormones), she started by changing food habits for herself and her family which led to the examination of all the other products in her home. Sandhya ventured into making skincare and cosmetic products in her kitchen and to her delight, found the experience to be rewarding and creative. She draws heavily on her Indian heritage, a fascination with flowers, and a doctoral degree in chemistry when formulating products. Her mission is to help women of color radiate beauty, naturally.
